Job Title: Property Manager
Location: Canton, OH 
Job Summary:

The Property Manager is responsible for the daily operations and management of residential senior citizens property . This includes ensuring tenant satisfaction, maintaining the property in excellent condition, managing financials, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. Must be available for emergencies that arise. 


Key Responsibilities:

Property Maintenance:

  • Coordinate regular property inspections and address maintenance issues.
  • Schedule and supervise repairs, renovations, and cleaning services.
  • Ensure properties comply with local building codes and safety standards.

Tenant Relations:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for tenants.
  • Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate lease renewals and resolve tenant disputes professionally.

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage property budgets, including rent collection and expense tracking.
  • Ensure timely collection of rent and follow up on delinquencies.
  • Approve invoices and maintain financial records for property-related expenses.

Leasing and Marketing:

  • Advertise vacant units and coordinate property showings.
  • Screen potential tenants and conduct background checks.
  • Negotiate lease agreements and ensure proper documentation.

Compliance and Legal:

  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local property management laws.
  • Handle legal matters related to evictions or lease violations.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits and legal purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in property management or a related field.
  • Certifications: Property management certifications (e.g., CPM, ARM) are a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Proficiency in property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi).
    • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
